Had a lovely guide, Abdou, for our desert safari three day trip. Said was informative, attentive and accommodating throughout. We learnt so much! It was a short but comprehensive tour of South-East Morocco. We got to meet many local artisans and villagers. The journey was smooth from start to finish. Despite the long drive, the car ride was very comfortable. Would highly recommend!

Amazing experience! Loved it! We went from Marrakech to the desert for 4 days and had an amazing time! Youssef was our guide and he was so kind, welcoming and accommodating! The riads we stayed out were so nice and welcoming. The desert was a unique experience and I’m so glad we were able to see it. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is considering visiting Morocco and would use them in the future when I come back!

Great 13 night tour around Morocco! I did a wonderful 13 night tour of Morocco with my wife, including Fez, the Sahara, Marrakesh, and Essaouira. The tour was incredible! Particular highlights included the cooking class in Marrakesh, the walking tours of Fez and Marrakesh, the camel ride in the Sahara, and rambling through the windy Essaouira port. Our driver, Hassan, was a great companion for the trip, making sure our trip went smoothly every step of the way. We had a wonderful trip, thanks Hassan and Visit Morocco Sahara for the unforgettable experience!

My husband and I just finished a 15 day/14 night tour of Morocco with Visit Morocco Sahara. This was the first time we hired a tour company and Said's organization of destinations, routes, hotels, sites, restaurants, shopping was awesome! We started in Casablanca, went on to Rabat, followed by Chefchouan, Fez, the desert, Merzouga, the Tondra and Dades Gorges, the beautiful Atlas mountains, and ended in Marrakech. Our driver, Mohammad, was very attentive, a careful driver and ready to meet all our demands. He was always punctual, respectful and knowledgable about all the areas we visited. We always felt safe and saw parts of Morocco that can only be discovered by driving through this beautiful country. We also had a wonderful cooking class that was organized by the tour company. I highly recommend Under Moroccan Sun as your entry into Morocco. Morocco is such an exotic area and the people are gracious and welcoming. Hassan also knows how best to introduce non-Moroccans to this magnificent country.

Unforgettable adventure
5/5
Just finished our 18 day adventure around Morocco with Visit Morocco Sahara and this is THE BEST TOUR COMPANY. I want to first note that I researched about a dozen different companies that offered similar itineraries. Not only was this company the most reasonably priced for 5 star accommodations and a private driver, but the customer service was outstanding. Said answered all of my questions ( of which I had many!) and checked in often while we were on the trip to ensure we were enjoying our time. He sent the itinerary with all of the details of lodging, meals, etc right away and addressed all of my questions promptly. We even had a fairly last minute change to our flights and had to extend our stay in Morocco, and Said quickly put together a new itinerary for us. When we arrived, we were met by our driver Abdou who greeted us with a big welcoming smile. He graciously allowed us to skip the tour around Casablanca the day we arrived because neither of us got any sleep on the plane. He offered this same type of flexibility for the entirety of the trip, but after the first day, we felt much better and didn’t want to miss a single thing. Each day Abdou carefully described the days’ activities and as he drove us all over country, he gave us information about the history and culture of Morocco and answered all of our questions. He took great care in pointing out interesting sights and good photo opportunities. Every time we met Abdou, we were greeted with the same big welcoming smile. He helped us translate when needed, carried our giant suitcases to every hotel, and made sure we were happy and healthy for the entire trip. He was always available for a ride or to answer a question, even on our “free days”. He always made us feel safe and secure, and like we had a true friend here in Morocco. Driving in Morocco was a little crazier than Americans are used to, but Abdou was an excellent driver and we always felt safe in his hands. He went out of his way to make sure all of our Covid testing require more weOn the last day, we were both really sad to leave Morocco, but grateful to have made a new friend. As far as the itinerary, we got to see all of the highlights Morocco has to offer. We felt like great care was put into selecting amazing accommodations that were centrally located. Every single Riad was beautiful and different. The breakfasts were all delicious. We loved being close to all the action in both Chefcheouen, Fes and Marrakech. The hotel and camps in the Sahara desert were some of our absolute favorites. Everywhere we went we had knowledgeable local guides to show us around, give us insider tips, and make us feel welcome. While all of the local guides were outstanding, one of our favorite “local” experiences was with Idriss in Risanni. We got to explore a Berber pharmacy and try Berber pizza. Everything about this trip was perfectly planned and executed. I absolutely recommend Visit Morocco Sahara to anyone traveling to Morocco!

Morocco Group Tour

I am the self-appointed trip-planner for a group of three couples so I did a lot of research before booking with Visit Morocco Sahara. Yusuf was so very easy to work with as we changed our itinerary several times - eventually ending up with what he initially suggested. We booked 12 days that included some unavoidable long drives but during that time we were educated and entertained by our Driver guide and friend, Said. Nothing was too much trouble and he anticipated our every need. Our vehicle was an 8 passenger Mercedes van, very comfortable even in the middle seats. We could never have driven ourselves and navigated the narrow alleyways to the riads and parking challenges that Said handled effortlessly. We congratulated ourselves when we watched bus loads of tourists queueing as our nimble little group went around them, knowing we had paid far less for a much more personal experience. A local tour company and guide is the only way to see Morocco and marvel at its many and varied faces, from pristine beaches to mountain villages. Don’t miss the hammam, the camel ride, and the chance to meet so many of the lovely people of Morocco. Thank you Said and Yusuf for an unforgettable experience!

My wife and I just finished a customized version of one of these tours. We asked Said to help put together a whirlwind week with some time in Marrakech and Essouaira, coupled with a few days in Atlas mountain villages and Sahara camps. He has an excellent program going here, with relationships to community resources like local city guides and hoteliers that enable him to quickly assemble a plan and make all necessary accommodations. Really, though, it's his talent in getting world class guides for the whole experience that makes the whole thing gel. Our tour guide and driver, Omar, was just one example of these. A cosmopolitan berber from the area, he was equally comfortable in the larger cities as he was in berber mountain villages and among the desert nomads and Gnawa of the frontier regions. This was really the value of doing a tour like this - having a guide who put you at ease, has a wealth of knowledge of the communities and their history and the secret spots (like where to get the best fresh camel milk, which ancient Qasbahs to tour and where to get fresh dates right from the trees). I can't recommend this tour enough, especially to people who need a fantastic introduction to Morocco and want to see a lot on a limited timetable.

Wonderful Experience
4/5
Where does one start after such a wonderful experience?! The trip was perfect from beginning to end. First, the Planning: Said worked with me, via email, to build a 9 day itinerary for my two teenagers and I that married my requirements to see some of Morocco, learn about its history, as well as mix in outdoor/athletic adventures. A bit outside the typical 'tourist' lane but Said pulled it off without a hitch. Said also stayed in touch with us for the duration of the trip to ensure everything was going well and was available if/when we ever needed anything. This included helping us change our itinerary real-time to give us an extra day in the Sahara. Next, the Execution: Said connected us with Hammid as our driver/guide. Hammid was kind, patient, helpful, informative and after 9 days together...felt like part of the family. He was an excellent driver, spoke English [and several other languages] well, and it didn't hurt that he had an infectious laugh:). Hammid was by our side [or, at least, available] from the moment we arrived in Casablanca to the moment he dropped us off at the airport 9 days later. Hammid went above and beyond ensuring the little details were ironed out on-the-go. [arranging for laundry to be done overnight, translating as necessary, coordinating real-time requests like skipping a camel-ride and choosing to walk the desert ourselves, and taking us off the beaten path to see/meet nomadic moroccans both in the mountains and in the desert, to name just a few.] Leaving so much in the hands of Said/Hammid felt a little unsettling but I'm sure glad I did it. The lodging Said arranged was perfect, the food/restaurants recommended by Hammid were excellent, and the activities coordinated by Hassan/Hammid [paragliding, ATV rides in the desert, biking in the mountains, cooking classes, local guides for tours of different cities, etc] made the experience one of the best trips we've ever taken. Thank you Said and Hammid!
