DAY 1 : MARRAKECH > ATLAS MOUNTAINS → AIT BEN HADDOU →→ OUARZAZATE →→ DADES GORGES

Your 4-day trip from Marrakech to Merzouga Morocco Sahara Tour starts by picking you up from your accommodation.Then leave Marrakech, driving to Ait Benhaddou via the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass in the High Atlas mountains, your driver will stop in the best places, as you can also tell him to stop whenever you want.

Once in Ait Benhaddou, we will visit a historical fortified village called Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. The old Kasbah has been protected by Unesco since 1987. Many famous films and TV series such as Gladiator, the Mummy, and Game of Thrones have used the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou as a location.

After lunch here, we will drive to Boumalne Gorges via Ouarzazate and the Rose Valley. In Boumalne, we will visit a place where there are magnificent rock formations, also called monkey fingers. Then, head to your hotel. Relax, dinner, and overnight.

DAY 2: DADES GORGES →→ TODRA GORGE →→ MERZOUGA

After a tasty breakfast in your accommodation in Dades Gorges, we will start the second day of your Morocco sahara tour from Marrakech by driving to Todgha Canyon, where you will have the opportunity to walk under these 300 meters high cliffs.

Arrive at Merzouga desert in the evening, your guide and the camels will be waiting to take you across the Dunes to your camp, where you will spend a memorable night, you can also watch an enchanting sunset from a high dune.

Today, an early wake-up is rewarded with a spectacular and glorious sunrise, you can watch it from the nearest dune to your camp. After a tasty breakfast at your camp, you can choose to leave the camp by camel trekking back to the town of Merzouga or by a 4-by-4 vehicle.

Not far from the town, there is a small village called Khamliya, it’s home to the songs of Gnawa. We will stop here to listen to this Moroccan music style.

Then drive to Rissani, which is the foundation of the current ruling family of Morocco and the place for caravan routes during the old ages. If the day is Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday we can visit the market of the city to get a glimpse of a traditional Moroccan souk. Morocco sahara tour

Then, drive to Ouarzazate via the charming Draa Valley. Arrive at your accommodation in Ouarzazate in the evening.
